The Advisory Committee on the Safety of Blood, Tissues and Organs (SaBTO) met on 11 September 2012 and discussed a range of topics including proposed new work to be undertaken by SaBTO on the risks associated with certain donors and organs for transplantation and on cellular therapies; developments relating to vCJD risk reduction measures and a review of the advice and recommendations published by SaBTO in the last year.
